About Canvasations
Our paintings and sculptures are primarily (though not exclusively) the creations of artists with roots in Eastern Europe. As Russia and the other countries formerly under Soviet influence have regained their freedom of expression, the artistic skill and aesthetic talents so long suppressed have been unleashed onto the fine art world.
The quality and depth of Eastern European art has long been recognized throughout the world. Now this new artistic explosion is exposing a new generation of contemporary artists who are taking the European and U.S. art worlds by storm. Museums and fine art galleries in London, Paris, and New York are dedicating increasing numbers of exhibitions and shows to Russian and Eastern European artists.
Walk into any fine art gallery that exhibits international artists and you will see evidence of this new artistic invasion. This contemporary art follows the traditions of modern masters Chagall, Kandinsky, and Malevich in combining the decorative and illustrative to produce art that is statement, expression, and storytelling even as it is aesthetics at its best.
